Dr. Katerina Vamvaca

After studying Chemistry at the University of Athens, Katerina moved to Zurich to do biochemical research at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (ETH). As a graduate student, she was teaching assistant of Biological Chemistry laboratory courses and supervised two undergraduate research projects. She completed her Ph.D. on enzyme catalysis in 2006, and then worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at Harvard Medical School. In 2009 she returned to Greece, and completed her research on protein misfolding in Parkinson’s disease at the Biomedical Research Foundation of the Academy of Athens. Katerina is currently operations manager at Analytical Instruments S.A.
