How To Share a Private Video on YouTube

In your 3-minute video, please:

  • Present yourself, your interests, your dreams, your concerns,
  • Explain the reasons why you want to participate in IC Summer School 2017 and
  • Describe your expectations from the IC Summer School.

Your video should be no longer than 3 minutes duration. You may use any camera that you prefer, to create your video, such as PC/web camera, video camera, phone camera etc. You may record yourself on camera, or another person can help you by recording you on camera.

Videos should be uploaded on YouTube, by carefully following the instructions below. The video should be uploaded as a private video, shared with the email address that we provide in the instructions below. If you have any questions while uploading your video, please call the Informatics Center Office at 210 6798226. Videos should be uploaded by April 11 at 16:00 (GMT +2, local Athens, Greece time).

To upload a private video, open YouTube and click on “Upload” located at the top right corner next to search bar.


You will see an option to upload a video using “Open” dialog or drag and drop the video right in the middle to upload. Below, you will see a drop down menu that should be set to “Public”. Click on it and from the menu select “Private”. Now, any video you will upload will be private.



Just select any of the available methods to upload the video. Once uploaded, you will see a drop down menu on the left with status “Private”, and below it you will see a text field where you can add people with whom you would like to share the video. In this text field add the email address

When your are done configuring, click on “Done” located at top left corner of the window and video will be send to the IC Program account.
