World Cuisine

The project will address important basic knowledge in the art of cooking and use of kitchen ware along with showing the creativity and personal satisfaction of homemade cooking. Learning the proper use of kitchen equipment and utensils. Cooking methods. Importance of high hygiene levels in the cooking process. Safety use of knife ware.Learning cooking and handling of various food groups such as vegetables, poultry, meat, herbs and spices.

Project Description

Students will actively participate in the food making process, which includes ingredient preparation, cooking process, plating, portioning as well as tiding up after the end of each recipe.
The final project is the daily successful execution of the recipes and of course the tasting of them.

Learning Objectives

Students will understand the importance of homemade food, the culture that the food carries and spreads in different societies along with cooking techniques, safety and hygiene necessary in the making of the food
By the end of this course students will have a better understanding of quality food, better ingredient handling, better grocery purchasing management and fewer waste
