October 18th: College Founders’ Day

Observance of College Founders’ Day, in memory of our School’s great benefactors and motivators – Emmanouil Benakis, Stephanos and Penelope Delta, Epameinondas Charilaos and Bert Hodge Hill -, began with the time-honored liturgy at the Church of the Archangels.

This was followed by celebratory events in all the school units.  October 18th has been designated “College Founders’ Day” inasmuch as the official inauguration of the College took place on Sunday, October 18, 1925 with classes commencing the following day, Monday.
