The Program Chair of the Conference was Dr. Vasileios Kalfas, Professor of Philosophy at the Philosophical School of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, who effectively guided the school groups in their choice of topics and bibliographic research.  Students from the following secondary schools participated in the Conference: Athens College, Psychico College, Arsarkeio General High (Classic), Othisi, Geitonas School, Doukas School, Krestena High School in Ilia Prefecture, Zografeio High School of Constantinople, Mantoulidis School of Thessaloniki and the 1st General High School of Chalkida.  At the opening of the Conference, Mr. Dionysios Tselentis, Co-Director and High School Director of Athens College, and Mr. Apostolos Athanasopoulos, Coordinator of the School Units and High School Director of Psychico College, addressed the audience, offering brief greetings.  They were followed by Dr. Vasileios Kalfas who, in his keynote speech, introduced the Conference theme to the participants.

Coordinators for the three sessions – two in Ethics and one in the field of Natural Sciences – were the Heads of the History and Social Studies, Greek Language and Science Departments of Athens College and Psychico College.  Students presented their findings which they had prepared under the guidance of their Teacher-Advisors.  The wide consensus found the student presentations particularly interesting and the Conference a great success.
