Student Admissions into Elementary School 1st Grade

Admission into 1st grade is through a LOTTERY system.

Applications for participation in the Lottery are accepted from the date of birth of the candidate up until January 10th of the year in which the candidate will commence his/her schooling.

Parents who have applied for their child’s admission into the Elementary Schools of the Hellenic-American Educational Foundation (Athens College - Psychico College) must visit the Admissions Office one year before their child is to commence his/her schooling – specifically between September 1st and 30th – in order to renew their interest.

At the time of the interest renewal process, parents must go to the Accounting Office and pay 60 Euros.

The draw takes place in the month of January.

Specifically, for students applying for admission into 1st grade, the draw will take place at the Bodossakeio Elementary School in Kantza on:

Saturday, January 20, 2018

10:00 (general lottery), 11:00 (alumni lottery)

Applications for participation in the Lottery are accepted up until Wednesday, January 10, 2018 provided that the payment of 60 Euros has been made in advance at the College Accounting Office.

The Administration takes into consideration parents’ preference when placing students in one of its two schools (Athens College and Psychico College).  However, it reserves the right to place students according to space availability.  In so doing, priority is given to siblings.

Students will complete their schooling in the same School’s Elementary, Junior High, and High School in which they are placed in 1st grade.  Changing from Athens College to Psychico College can take place after 10th grade only in the event that the student opts to join the International Baccalaureate (I.B.) Programme which is administered by Psychico College.
