Turkey Trot

As part of our School’s celebration of Thanksgiving, the English Department organizes an annual Turkey Trot.  The activity, which first took place in 2013, is philanthropic in nature and has enjoyed great success and appeal.

This year, English Department teachers urged students to bring their old clothing to School in order to give it to children in need.

Over the course of the three weeks that this activity lasted, students brought in winter clothing that was in good condition (jackets, athletic apparel sets, pants, leggings, blouses/shirts, sweatshirts).  The 15-member Student Council, with the assistance of other 6th grade students, helped to sort the clothing and pack it in boxes.

Persons working for the Non-Profit Association “Desmos” came to collect the boxes of clothing which they in turn delivered to a refugee camp.
