Dear Parents,

We would like to inform you that a Counseling and Career Office exists at Psychico College High School whose undertaking is to support school objectives by providing specialized services to students, parents and teachers.

The main objective of this service is to support our School’s students in coping with the academic demands of High School as well as with their interpersonal relationships.  This goal is achieved through the provision of individual counseling on academic issues, time management, behavioral issues in class, as well as diagnosis and management of emotional difficulties.

Additionally, through the administration of a Career Aptitude and Vocational Interest Test, which is followed up by individual counseling, 10th grade students are offered an opportunity to identify interests that help them select the track of studies they will pursue and the career they hope to one day follow.  “Career Day” and the “Summer Internship Program” afford students with stimuli and experiences that can also be utilized in the decision making process.

Counseling services are also available to students’ parents, as we consider parental input and cooperation integral to students’ successful resolution of problems.

Lastly, the Counseling and Career Office collaborates with the School’s faculty in order to prevent the emergence of behavioral problems and to furnish appropriate support to students with learning and other difficulties.

Parents whose children attend High School and the International Baccalaureate Programme can contact one of the School’s three psychologists, Ms. M. Alivizatou (tel. 210-6798273 – office 027, ground floor, Benaki Hall), Ms. L. Papagiannopoulou (tel. 210-6798100 ext. 4609 – office 238, 2nd floor, Benaki Hall) or Ms. I. Kanoni (tel. 210-6798256 – office 129, 1st floor Benaki Hall) in order to make an appointment to see them.
