During the summer term and holidays, office hours may vary.
Student Absences
Student attendance is mandatory, and student absences may only be excused in the event of an emergency. In such cases, parents must notify the School immediately and communicate the reasons for a student’s absence.
When students return to school, they must submit to the relevant Assistant Principal’s Office a physician’s note (or a note signed by their parents if a student is absent for only 1-2 days).
If a student’s absence was due to contagious disease, a physician’s note must clearly state that the contagious period has elapsed and it is safe for the student to return to school.
Medical Exemption from Physical Education
Students may be exempted for the day upon written request by a parent, submitted by the student to the Vice Principal’s Office before the beginning of the first period.
For long-term exemption, a physician’s note must be submitted to the Principal’s Office.
Medical Office
A Medical Office staffed by a nurse and supervised by a pediatrician is maintained at the school. The nurse is available during school hours to administer first aid in the event of an emergency. First-grade students must be examined by the school doctor prior to school admission. All medical findings are noted in a student’s medical record, and archived in the office. A second medical examination is scheduled for all students in the 4th grade.
At the beginning of each school year, parents must submit the medical assessment notes required by law and the College for the participation of students in Physical Education.
