Social Life
Students of all grades, under the supervision and guidance of their teachers, become aware of their rights and obligations as class members and members of their school community, and the society at large. Fifteen-minute “Social Life” sessions are part of the daily school program, featuring discussions, announcements and activities aiming to raise the students’ social awareness.
Student Community
Each class has its own Student Board. Students in the 3rd to 6th grades elect representatives for the Student Council which meets under the supervision of one or more Teacher-Advisors and makes decisions about issues which concern the student community (student life regulations, community activities, school life problems).
- Producing and publishing a calendar is one of the several activities to be executed each year within the scope of the Student Community activities. Students are inspired by topics covered during the Creative Activities sessions and create artworks to adorn the calendar. These projects take place in the Creative Activities Workshop under the guidance of the Art teachers.
Clubs
At the beginning and middle of the school year, all 3rd to 6th grade students pick an extracurricular activity, out of a list posted by the school, to be performed under the supervision of their teachers. In other words, they join a Club. The existence of Clubs enriches school life and helps students to practice making choices (eight times during Elementary School). Each Club presents the outcome of its activities to other students whenever possible or at the celebration held at the end of the school year.
