Middle and High School faculty members are placed in Academic Departments according to their areas of expertise.

The following Academic Departments are in place at Psychico College:

1. Ancient Greek
2. Modern Greek
3. History and Humanities
4. Math
5. Natural Science
6. English
7. Physical Education
8. Music

The main mandate of each Academic Department is to consider and propose to the administration proposals regarding the courses in their field of expertise, aiming at the continuous improvement of both teaching and student evaluation methods.

The Academic Departments, chaired by the Department Supervisor:

• meet regularly
• ensure the coordination of school units
• assign course coordinators per grade
• monitor the curriculum progress
• publish supplementary teaching material for all grade sections
• manage the utilization, maintenance and replacement of educational material
• organize teacher training activities, either in-house or in collaboration with other institutions and organizations
