All High School and Middle School teachers are members of an Academic Department depending on their area of expertise.

Academic Departments operating at Psychico College are as follow:

3.      Mathematics
4.      Sciences
5.      Information Technology
6.      English
7.      Music
8.      Physical Education

In the I.B. Programme, Coordinators have been appointed for the following departments:

1.      Modern Greek
2.      English
3.      Sciences
4.      Mathematics
5.      Greek Ministry Subjects

The key role of the Academic Departments is to examine the unique qualities of the subjects taught therein and to make suggestions to the Administration with regard to continued improvement in both didactic methodology and student assessment.

Academic Departments under the leadership of the Department Head:

- Meet regularly.
- Work towards coordination of all the school units.
- Appoint Coordinators of subjects per grade level.
- Keep abreast of the curriculum’s progress.
- Publish supplementary teaching materials common for all sections of a subject.
- Concern themselves with the use, upkeep and replacement of teaching materials.
- Organize in-house teacher training programs in collaboration with other institutions and organizations.
