Student Community
The
Student Community is comprised of all the students in a grade, or
all the students in the various sections of a grade.
Student Communities are entities that promote democratic
practices at the School and stimulate students’ initiatives,
exploration and creativity.
They safeguard the free circulation of ideas and freedom of
speech, ensuring through democratic procedures the unconstrained
development of each student’s personality and his/her ability to
formulate opinions about student issues.
Concurrently, Student
Communities, through their elected delegates on Student Councils,
propose solutions to school issues by bringing them to the Faculty
and Administration.
Additionally, they are responsible for the enforcement of School
Life Regulations (ie. cleanliness and maintenance of school premises
and teaching materials, proper student attire, etc).
Pending the final approval of the Administration and the
Faculty, Student Councils take the initiative and organize cultural
and social events as well as athletic competitions.
