College Teachers Undergo Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training

On Saturday, February 15, 2020, teachers from all of the College’s school units attended a CPR Training Session, involving the use of an automatic external defibrillator. The training, which lasted 4 hours, was provided by BREATH – Friends of Children in Intensive Care Association (, and was organized by the College’s Medical Services in collaboration with the School’s Co-Directorship.  Training included both theoretical and practical (hands on) components.

Lecturer on the theoretical aspects was Professor of Pediatrics and Director of the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit of the University General Hospital in Heraklion, Crete, Dr. Georgios Briasoulis. Practical training was provided by BREATH trainers, Dr. Georgia Sideri, Pediatrician and Intensive Care Specialist, and Ms. Mary Fantakis, Nurse and BLS/AED Course Director.


Teachers who participated received a Certificate of Attendance from BREATH.
