A special musical evening dedicated to Beethoven

A special music event took place on Saturday, October 19th at the College Theater as part of the tribute to Ludwig van Beethoven, organized by our School’s Music Department.  Distinguished soloist, Titos Gouvelis, alumna Tatiana Anastasopoulou ΄16, Director of the College Conservatory, Dimitris Papagiannakis, and Head of the Music Department, Stefanos Tsokakis, interpreted three of the great German composer’s most important chamber works.


Stefanos Tsokakis and College President, Richard L. Jackson, prefaced the event.  College Music teacher, Michalis Empeoglou introduced the pieces with musicological analyses.


The concert took place within the framework of the Classical Music Festival dedicated to the 250th anniversary since the birth of one of the greatest composers of all time.

Three more concerts will follow in Choremi Auditorium on Saturday, November 23, 2019, on Saturday, February 1, 2020, and on Saturday, March 21, 2020, with the participation of other distinguished Greek soloists, our School’s and Conservatory’s music teachers, students and alumni.
