Re:  Exemption from the subject of Religion

Please be advised that in accordance with the Ministry of Education’s Circular no. 12773/Δ2/23-01-2015/ ΥΠOΠAIΘ, exemption from the subject of Religion is granted further to the submission of Legal Affidavit N.1599/1986 signed by either the student him/herself (if over 18 years of age) or both parents (if a minor), declaring that the student is not of the Eastern Orthodox faith and for reasons of religious conscience seeks exemption from the subject of Religion.  It is optional to declare the faith of which the student is a practicing member.  The signature of only one parent is acceptable if he/she has legal custody the student.  Legal Affidavits must be signed in the presence of either a KEP (Citizen Services Centre) or police authority official, in order to bear the stamp confirming signature authenticity.

Legal Affidavits may be submitted to the School’s Secretariat up through Friday, September 20, 2019.   May we remind you that exempted students are required to attend another subject in a different class section of the same grade.
