Final Round of Athens College High School’s “March 25th” Oratory Competition

The final round of this year’s March 25th Oratory Competition took place on Thursday, March 14, 2019.  Winner of the Competition was Petros Kaklamanis who delivered his speech during the High School’s celebration of March 25th.  Second place winner was Andreas Tsolmektsoglou who delivered his speech during the Junior High School’s celebration of March 25th.

 

Congratulations to all the students who made it to the finals, as well as the semi-finals.  The theme of this year’s speeches was:  year’s theme was: The spiritual rebirth of Greeks as a decisive factor in the struggle for freedom.

Stefanos Efthymiadis, Professor of Byzantine Studies at the Cyprus Open University;


Paschalis Kitromilides, Professor Emeritus at the Department of Political Science and Public Administration of the School of Economics and Politics of the National Kapodistrian University of Athens and Director the Center for Asia Minor Studies; and


Nikolaos Stampolidis, Professor at the Department of History and Archaeology of the University of Crete and Director of the Museum of Cycladic Art.
