Panhellenic Robotics Competition

The 4th Panhellenic Educational Robotics Competition W.R.O™ Hellas was held with great success at our School (Aggelikouseio Covered Gymnasium & Chandreio Athletic Center) on Saturday, June 23, 2012.  The Competition was organized by the Institute of Educational Robotic Science W.R.O™ Hellas in collaboration with the National Information Technology Teachers Association and HAEF’s Informatics Center.  Fifty seven (57 teams) consisting of one hundred sixty (160) students from seventy five (75) schools in Greece participated.

Nikolaos Mavrokefalos, Orestis Mersinias and alumni Christos Gionas ’11, members of the Athens College Cyclotron Intelligence team, coached by I.T. teacher Mr. Andreas Karampelas, won 1st place in the High School category.

 

The Cyclotron Intelligence team will represent Greece in the World Robot Olympiad, scheduled to take place in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia on November 9-12, 2012.
