PanHellenic Student Physics Competition “Aristotle 2020”

Dear Parents,

The Department of Physics of the University of Athens, together with the Hellenic Society of Physics for Science and Education (EEFEE), are organizing the PanHellenic JHS Student Physics Competition “Aristotle 2020, open to 7th, 8th and 9th grade Junior High School students from around Greece.

The Competition will take place on Saturday, March 7, 2020, at 09:30.  Students will be advised as to the venue as soon as it is announced by the Directorate of Secondary Education. Parents will be responsible for transporting their children to and from the testing center.

The topics tested in the Competition are roughly the same as those projected to have been covered on a weekly basis per the National curriculum for each grade level, including issued modifications up until the time of the Competition.

On the day of the Competition, students must carry either their National ID card or their passport. They are also advised to have geometry/math instruments and a pocket calculator with them, as the possession and use of mobile phones during the Competition is prohibited.

Junior High School students who wish to enter the Competition must submit the completed Registration Form (attached) to Ms. A. Agallou in the Lila Hall Secretariat by Wednesday February 19, 2020.
