Instructions for Children and Adolescents Remaining at Home

Dear Parents,

Below are instructions from the National Public Health Organization for children and adolescents staying at home within the context of the Joint Ministerial Decision regarding measures to help contain the spread of the new coronavirus SARS-CoV-2 in schools and the community:

· Avoid meetings and congregations anywhere (e.g. cafes, cinemas)

· Avoid extra-curricular activities involving groups of people

· Discourage meetings at friends’ homes, restaurants or malls

· Ensure/endorse distance-learning activities (e-learning)

· Avoid contact with persons who have chronic health conditions and/or belong to vulnerable groups

· Wash hands often and thoroughly using soap and water or an alcohol hand sanitizer

· Cover your mouth and nose with a tissue when you cough or sneeze.  Immediately dispose of the used tissue in a trash bin.  If you don’t have a tissue, cough or sneeze into your elbow.

· Avoid touching your eyes, nose and mouth

· Avoid close contact (hand-shaking, hugging and kissing)

· Avoid contact with persons who have symptoms of infection

· In case of symptoms, stay at home and contact a doctor or the National Public Health Organization (EODY)
