The Library is an integral part of the educational program of the Elementary School.  Its main objective is to familiarize students with reading for fun, research techniques and with proper rules of conduct in the library.  The ultimate goal is to encourage students to become life-long library aficionados: individuals who will visit the library systematically, rather than occasionally and for a specific purpose. Students of all grades work in the Library at least one teaching period per week.

In addition to reading for fun, students attend special presentations on a variety of topics in the Library.  In higher grades, students learn how to conduct research and prepare projects.
