Athens College Elementary School Students Awarded by Hellenic Mathematical Society

Thirty-three Athens College Elementary School 5th and 6th graders were among those who distinguished themselves in the “Mathematics and Games” competition, organized by the Hellenic Mathematical Society on March 1, 2019.

The Competition, held for the 13th consecutive year, takes place within the framework of the “Junior Euclides” magazine, issued by the Hellenic Mathematical Society for students in Elementary grades 5 and 6 around all of Greece. According to the Hellenic Mathematical Society, the objective of the competition is to bring students into contact with Mathematics and its applications from an early age.

The Award Ceremony took place on Sunday, May 12, 2019 in the Ceremonial Hall of the National Technical University of Athens, on the Zografou campus. It was attended by the students who were being honored, their parents, the Elementary School Director, Mr. Loukas Zachos, and Assistant Director of the Upper Section, Mr. Pantelis Antoniou
