Environmental Education

Students of the J.M. Carras Kindergarten are afforded an opportunity to live and harmoniously coexist within a building with bioclimatic features – surrounded by gardens and greenery – thus allowing them to witness firsthand and on a daily basis the importance of environmental protection.

Their active participation in environmental activities ensures experiential learning that aims at ecological awareness and cultivation of responsibility, respect, empathy and critical thinking.  Along with awareness, students are preoccupied with and seek actions to address environmental issues such as natural disasters, pollution of the natural environment, extinction of certain animal species, recycling, and the harmonious coexistence of man and nature.
