Periodic medical check-ups for College students

While in attendance at the College, students undergo health check-ups every 3 years (in 4th, 7th and 10th grades).  The check-ups are conducted by the College’s pediatrician, Dr. Antonios Makris.

The physical exam includes:

  • Height and weight measurement – Calculation of body mass index (BMI)
  • Blood pressure & pulse rate measurement
  • Chest auscultation –  respiration & heart rate measurements
  • Oral cavity check-up
  • Spinal column check-up
  • Eyesight check-up

This preventive check-up cannot, in any way, replace clinical examinations conducted by the physician (pediatrician or family doctor) who regularly monitors the student and has a more comprehensive picture of the student’s personal and family history.
