"Sustainable Building Design - Bioclimatic Architecture"

During academic year 2018-2019, Psychico College Junior High School 7th graders constructed mock-ups of bioclimatic buildings as part of their MYP Design course, Year 2.

Through their constructions, students learned about the basic principles of bioclimatic architecture that are at the heart of modern environmental planning.  MYP Design Cycle, which is based on the practices and processes of modern design, served as their guide in learning about analysis, development and creation of productions and solutions, as well as assessment of the various components.

Working in groups of three or four, students built their prototypes during their weekly, in-school lessons.
