Information Technology

Information Technology is one of the subjects taught in grades 3 through 6

Key features of the curriculum include:

  • The use of computers as pedagogical tools: to foster creative thinking; to promote experimentation and inference; to manage information and apply data; to inspire initiative and encourage collaboration; and to support other subjects, such as Mathematical Isometry in 6th grade.
  • Familiarizing students with basic image and text editing programs, multimedia, databases and spread sheets. Particular attention is given to teaching students the proper use of the internet, searching for and managing information.  Robotic applications make up a significant part of the course.
  • Implementation of the course by two I.T. Faculty members, who receive continuous training in their field.
