Psychico College High School Students Bring Home Silver Medal from the European Union Science Olympiad

A team of students from Psychico College High School, comprised of IB1 students Mikaela Zafet, Aikaterini Loupasaki-Chrysostomou and Achilleas-Heylap Savvidis won the Silver Medal in the 17th European Union Science Olympiad – EUSO 2019 that was held in Almada, Portugal from the 4th to 11th of May, 2019.

 

The students triumphed having successfully completed a series of experiments in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the NOVA School of Science and Technology.  


The team, which represented Greece in the Competition, was awarded in a special ceremony held in the Joaquim Benite Municipal Theater in the presence of Portugal’s Minister of Education, Tiago Brandao Rodrigues.

 

 

Our School’s EUSO 2019 team of student was coached by G Diplaris (physicist), D. Kontostavlaki (biologist) and Z. Nomikou (chemist), together with Science Department laboratory assistants: M. Vagdouti, K. Kogias, I. Kolympiris, F. Petraki and M. Pissanou.  Ms. D. Kontostavlaki, Ms. Z. Nomikou and Mr. I. Kontodinas accompanied the students on this mission.
