Psychico College High School’s “Young Entrepreneurs Club” Qualifies for PanHellenic Virtual Company Competition Finals

Following the enormous success of Psychico College High School’s Young Entrepreneurs Club last year (1st Prize in the PanHellenic SEN Competition), this year’s Club and their virtual company “Medinow” was again selected among the 10 best “Virtual Companies” and, as such, will compete in the finals of the 15th PanHellenic Student “Best Virtual Company 2020.” The winner will be announced on Friday, May 8, 2020.

The “Medinow” app, which focuses on the problem of limited health care, both medical and pharmaceutical, accessible to locals of peripheral (remote) regions, stood out among the entries submitted by 100 Junior High and High Schools from around Greece. “Medinow” connects the user directly with a doctor, reducing the time it takes to deal with an emergency: a factor considered, perhaps, the most critical for a patient’s recovery.  The app not only address the problem faced by permanent residents of these areas, but also other Greeks and foreigners visiting the provinces.

For the first time, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the final round of the Competition will take place remotely, with adolescent “entrepreneurs”, judges and guests connecting from their homes.  You will have an opportunity to watch the students’ presentations, their interviews with the judges, and the award ceremony live on the website:

The 1st Prize for the “Best Virtual Company 2020” will be awarded on the day of the finals, 5/8/2020, by the Honorable President of the Hellenic Republic, Ms. Aikaterini Sakellaropoulou.

Warm congratulations to our students as well as the Teachers – Advisors of Psychico College High School’s Young Entrepreneurs Club: Mr. Athanasios Karamitsas, Ms. Eleni Markopoulou and Mr. Panagiotis Statiris.:

Good luck in the final round of the Competition!
